Cost is $30 per curler. Clinics will be capped at 24 spots, with potential for 30, so please do utilize the waitlist.
Clinic 1 (All Levels)

Time: 8:00 am to 10:00 am
Clinic 1: Balance and Delivery
Description: Learn how to achieve greater balance while delivering stones.
Drills:
i. Takeoff - No Rock – Lift Support (broom or Stabilizer - Objective: Focus your weight without full support)
ii. Flying - No Rock, No Support (broom or Stabilizer - Objective: Focus your weight without any support)
i. Partner release drill (Center of Sheet - Objective: Release the stone with the proper handle and turn.)
ii. Hold It - Set the turn (Half Sheet - Objective: Hold the stone with the proper handle until told to release with proper turns)

This two and a half hour event (similar to our Group Rental program experience) will provide an introduction to curling and is intended for individuals or small groups who have never experienced the sport.
After a brief overview and safety presentation in our warm room, everyone will go on the ice for the remainder of the session where we will cover sliding, stone delivery, sweeping, and scoring as everyone plays a few ends.

The Detroit Curling Club is a dedicated curling facility with four sheets of ice and a spacious lounge and viewing area. We're in Ferndale, Michigan, close to Downtown Detroit and centrally located between major freeways (I-75 and I-696). We are the only curling club in the Detroit metropolitan area and have an active membership who joins for one primary purpose - to enjoy the grand old game of curling!
